When we lost last season we always got a PLETHORA of stats from the big man about penalty box entries etc when he was blaming the players for not executing his plans. I don't understand why any journalist armed with Nolan stats doesn't quiz him on what he is for.

Yes I would be happy with him going.
On the outside in the press of from other fans All they keep saying is what a great season we are having and how wrong we were about Sam!
It's bollocks though. We could be right up there with the players we have and the system we used against Man City and Liverpool at home. It's affecting some of the players confidence as well. People like Song seem to have gone shit on the back of these performances.
I don't understand why he can't fucking see it thouhh when it seems so obvious to most of us!
Get rid now as he clearly isn't going t change anything!

Those stats for Nolan on Saturday are absolutely fucking laughable... How embarrassing... What an awful, awful performance that is typical of him the past year or two now...
Still, it's not stopped the walrus-headed, dullard cunt picking him before and it won't do again...
It makes us look like a really shit, joke cunt football club...
Like when we had Dowie spoiling everything that Hartson, Berkovic, Sinclair and co produced in 97/98 when Kitson spent lengthy spells out injured... We had no choices for a while then but we fucking well do now though...

It's not a lean spell. Nolan is spent at this level. It's over for him. It was last season too!

What all adduce does which is fundamentally different to supporters it play the season, rather than just the game. We go up and down like a manic depressive from game to game, whereas he's looking at where he finishes.
He's an expert at packing up enough points. You can't really argue with his record on that.
Maybe if someone could offer up a big exciting name to manage us then I'd be all for moving the fat chap along, but when you look at the realistic options there really aren't so many out there.

I think you're right utt. Nolan is the problem but I have some sympathy for SA because Nolan has been his captain for many years through 3 clubs.
Sam trusts him and Nolan has been through lean spells before but has always bounced back before. However, loyalty to a football captain can only go so far before he has to treat him like any other player.
I am sure Nolan will now lose his place after the last abysmal performance at Liverpool. The stats don't lie and we all know that SA will see them. The side is better without Nolan and he may come back but, he needs to earn his place again by proving he can turn games as a sub...

I agree Nolan doesn't pick himself or choose the formation, allardyce puts him in the firing line week in week out, the buck stops with the manager

Playing Nolan is a factor in this run of average form and lack of entertainment Anyone who doesn't see that is off their nut imo

Would you say Nolan is not at least 'a' problem, if not 'the' problem, Alex, given he obviously doesn't pick himself?

>>> Nolan is the problem
I don't think so. I think it's a shame he's drawing a lot of the flak that should really be aimed at the manager.
